The process of editing

We decided that this best for our group would be to divide the tasks and decided that 2 girls are going to edit the video and two are going to work on the Digipack and website.

For editing this video I used the program SonyVegas pro on a HP laptop.

The idea for the part that I was editing was to put different scenes that combine and create a nice story.

I decided to use the technique where every scene will be cut to the beat. I tried to respect the beat as much as possible so that it will have more harmony. I started by looking through the videos and choosing the ones that came out the best and after importing them in my editing program so everything it will be ready and organized.

I started the editing process with the intro of the music video and for the first seconds I introduced each girl, in the order of our scenes. I chose mostly close up scenes for the audience to really see the character but also to focus only on them. After the introduction that lasted for 8 seconds, it came my part to edit. For the first 15 seconds of my part it was initially a scene with me tie my hair in a ponytail but it changed and I added lip-sync instead. The lip-sync scenes were made in my house due to the fact that we were in quarantine and I tried to make something spontaneous and fun. I used jump cut to cut to keep the audience entertained(not seeing every scene for that long )This was pretty easy to edit and I didn't have any difficulties, however the next scene is where I was running and than stoped to tie my shoelaces. I used a close up scene to highlight more the action that was happening.
